Voting Delegate Forms

The “Delegate Reporting Form” is to be completed by the congregation and is the official notification of who the congregation has elected to represent them at the District Convention.  This form has all of the contact information and the required two signatures from officers of the congregation.  This form originally was mailed to the congregations during the 4th quarter of last year.  It was due on November 30, 2014, but it can still be completed if the congregation has not yet completed one.

The “Alternate Delegate Form” is ONLY needed if the original delegate(s) are not able to attend the District Convention.  If one or both of the delegates on the “Delegate Reporting Form” are not able to attend, this form must be completed, signed and sent to the District Secretary Rev. Dave Meier.

The “Credentialing Form” (LCMS Official Registration) is to be brought with you to the District Convention and presented as proof of attendance.  The 2010 Synodical Convention determined that the voting delegates who attend District Conventions will also cast the votes to elect the President of Synod in an election to take place prior to the 2016 Synod Convention.  These forms are gathered and sent to the Synod Secretary to be used in the next Synod Presidential Election.  All information and signatures MUST be completed prior to the District Convention.   Please remember that ALL delegates must have their own Credentialing Form and personal email (the pastor and the lay delegate may not share the same email address).

Credentialing form (LCMS Official Registration) appears above this paragraph. This form must be signed by two congregational officers and all requested information MUST BE submitted at the registration desk at our District Convention, beginning June 4.  Registration will be located outside the Sunflower Ballroom at the Maner Conference Center in Topeka.  Again, in order for the delegate to participate in the election of the President of Synod, this form must be submitted.  If the Alternate Delegate is seated at the District Convention, instead of the assigned delegate, the “LCMS Official Registration Form” must be completed with the information of the alternate delegate.

Advisory Delegates

The Bylaws of Synod (2013 Handbook 4.2.3) states: All nonvoting ordained and commissioned ministers who are members of the Synod within the district shall serve as advisory delegates.

(a) They are entitled to voice and vote on a floor committee, if appointed, and to voice in the convention.

(b) All advisory members are expected to attend all sessions of the convention.

(c)Those advisory members whose office in the Synod, district, or other agency imposes professional or service requirements on which full and regular convention attendance makes undue demands, shall nevertheless, in consultation with their supervisory boards, arrange for their own partial or occasional attendance and participation in accordance with policies established by their supervisory boards.

An Excuse Form for synodically rostered ministers, ordained and commissioned, is available by clicking the link below. If you are not able to attend this form must be completed and submitted to the District President.

 Vendor & Exhibit Room

All Exhibitors will be in the Shawnee Room.  This room will open Thursday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. and will remain open during lunches, breaks and during general sessions.  Delegates are encouraged to visit the Exhibit area, but should make every effort to remain in the convention hall during sessions.  If it is determined that there is excessive activity of delegates during sessions, access to the exhibit room will be restricted.
